Our Mission

Tooth Goal’s mission is to support people in reaching their oral health goals, to help improve their overall health.

A Unique Approach

We are an Independent Dental Hygiene clinic in Prescott
We offer evening and weekend appointment times

Location is everything

Tooth Goals is located in a spa-like setting in the county of Leeds and Grenville. It is located in the downtown core of Prescott, Ontario (inside Glitz). Prescott is conveniently situated just off the 401 and close to the junction of the 401 & 416. Holly’s clinic offers a relaxed atmosphere with no sounds of the drill.

Our Services

Whitening

Stained, dark, or yellow teeth can often make people feel self conscious. Tooth Goals offers options such as polishing or professional whitening. Our clinic uses Wicked White Professional Tooth Whitening: the Advanced LED Professional Teeth Whitening Kit with their special photo initiator gel. Wicked White boasts great results in half the time with no sensitivity. The ingredients are 100% pure with no fillers or additives (kosher USP glycerine, no animal by-products). Polish also helps to remove external stains and disease-causing plaque biofilm.

Gum Disease

We offer treatment for gum disease, such as Gingivitis or Periodontitis. People who have gingivitis will have inflamed gums that bleed easily, are red in colour and swollen. Periodontitis is the more advanced form of gum disease which involves the breakdown of bone and can cause loose teeth. We perform non-surgical periodontal therapy, such as scaling and root planing to treat gum disease. This involved removing calculus (tartar) from above and below the gum line. In severe cases, a referral to a specialist may be required.

Regular Care

Having a regular check of your mouth is an important part to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We perform a history check which includes a breakdown of your medical history, any medications, and your dental history. Next is the Intraoral/Extraoral exam which includes an Oral Cancer screening. Then we assess the condition of your gums and conduct a dental screening to detect early signs of tooth decay. Finally, we have a Tooth Goals discussion where we form a treatment plan specific to your wants and needs.

Cavities

We have a number of options to help you prevent cavities, such as Oral Health Education – where we remove the overwhelming burden of what tools may be best for you, and how you can use them effectively. Fluoride is another way in which you can decrease your risk of decay. Fluoride-free alternatives are also available.

Sensitive Teeth

Sometimes, when people experience tooth pain, it can be tooth sensitivity. We offer a desensitizing solution for sensitive teeth. The agent is simply applied to areas of the teeth where the client has sensitivity. You may experience this if you have gingival (gum) recession, or loss of tooth enamel through wear, toothbrush abrasion, or acid erosion. Book an appointment if you are looking for relief from sensitive teeth.

Mouthguards

Protecting your teeth is one of our top priorities – that’s why we offer mouthguards (sometimes called
sportsguards). It is a custom made guard, designed to protect the teeth during recreational sports. It also helps protect against bone fractures of the face and provides a cushion during non impact sports where grinding or clenching may occur. Some examples of sports that may require a mouthguard include: hockey, soccer, football, martial arts, boxing, wrestling and weight lifting.
